Our mission at Osio Labs is to empower anyone to build websites using open source tools. We teach how to use the technology, and we both support and lead open source projects and communities. We publish paid and free tutorials, sponsor events, conduct workshops, and contribute code and documentation.
Our company was born in 2010 when, as Lullabot employees, we launched the website Drupalize.Me to provide Drupal training. In 2016 we split from Lullabot to form a new sibling company, Lullabot Education, to focus solely on web technology training.
In February 2019, we changed our name from Lullabot Education to Osio Labs to better reflect our wider support of open source projects: we’re Open Source Inside and Out, and we’re deeply committed to fostering and growing communities through open source contribution.
Like our sibling company Lullabot, we’re a distributed company; our employees work from home or in shared workspaces around the globe. We're focused on building an open and transparent company that values its employees and the impact we have on the world. As a company, we deliberately work to create a positive and sustainable business. You can read more about our values in our Employee Handbook on GitHub.
